PM Modi Praises India’s Hospitality Legacy, Highlights Human Warmth at HAI Conclave 2026
PM Narendra Modi praises India’s Atithi Devo Bhava tradition at the 07th HAI Hoteliers’ Conclave 2026, highlighting technology, regional tourism and human warmth as key priorities for hospitality’s role in Viksit Bharat 2047.
In his message to the Hotel Association of India (HAI), the apex body, the Prime Minister congratulated the association on the 07th HAI Hoteliers’ Conclave 2026. He highlighted HAI’s important role in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047, stressing the need to ensure that the tourism potential of every region contributes to the prosperity of its people.
The Prime Minister also expressed hope that the deliberations at the Conclave would make a meaningful contribution to the future of the hospitality industry and the nation.
The Conclave, themed ‘Re-engineering Hospitality’, brought together leaders from the hospitality, tourism, business and policy sectors. Discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry, as well as its role in India’s growth story.
Responding to the Prime Minister’s message, KB Kachru, President, Hotel Association of India (HAI) and Chairman – South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, said, “We are deeply encouraged by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s message and his recognition of the transformative role of hospitality in India’s tourism and economic journey. The Conclave reaffirmed HAI’s commitment to strengthening collaboration across the hospitality and tourism ecosystem. It also highlighted the importance of creating an enabling environment for the sector to make a greater contribution to employment, investment, regional development and India’s global tourism proposition.
The Prime Minister’s message reinforced the significance of combining technological advancement, skills development and regional tourism opportunities with the human connection that remains central to India’s hospitality tradition as the industry looks towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
